Camp Blood Commentary

 Greetings Reader!

So it's Wednesday and that means it's time for another commentary track.

Chapter 3: The Stormy Night

This chapter finds the majority of the surviving cast all in the main hall, still oblivious (similar to the movie it is based on) to the events that are occurring.  The killer is very methodical and is being quite quiet in their actions.  They are preying on the pure idiocy of teens.  Sienna hears Victoria's scream but is talked out of what she hears due to the foul weather that is going on outside.  No one thinks anything of it with all of the noise from the heavy winds, rain, and thunder.

We are privy to a conversation between Sienna and the girls where we learn that the young waitress with "Blue Eyes" has a crush on Jackson.  Sienna's "Boyfriend" is aware of this but Jackson is into his role as Sienna's boyfriend and treats her as he would treat his girlfriend (Jackson is losing himself in his role).

I also thought it would be fun to show the group having a game night (similar to the original film) but we have more characters than the film and more dialogue between them.

This all leads to the love story between Melinda and Sydney as well as the backstory of how their relationship truly began.  I tried to be as tasteful while also being fairly descriptive of the love scene as I didn't want a smutty scene.  I've gotten a bit more descriptive in my sex scenes but I still try and make sure I don't overdo it.  The love scene of course is abruptly ended when our killer sneaks in on the lovers and impales first Sydney and then Melinda.  

I wanted to do a kill similar to the one in Friday the 13th Part II where the lovers were together when they get speared.  This was my take on it.  However, my killer is not strong enough to initially drive the spear through both people.  Melinda might have had a chance to survive the encounter if she wasn't pinned under Sydney as the spear was not all the way through the Caucasian girl.  However, as she was pinned the killer simply uses the leverage she had and forces the spear down and through the second girl ending her life.

Side Note:  At the time of this posting you all know who my killer is if you are up to date.  Please don't spoil it for others that might not have read all of the chaters.
