Cruel Summer Chapter 4 Commentary
Chapter 4 Commentary
While it may have been smart for Chad and Sienna not to draw additional attention to themselves by starting a fire it's more than likely that the killer knew that someone was in the range cabin.
The killer is a good shot but luckily for Rocki they never got the angle to land a shot. Several come very close though as does the one that is put through the window near Sienna's head.
Once she is safely inside the cabin Rocki eventually breaks down in Sienna's arms and surprisingly, Sienna is very sympathetic. While Sienna is known for her mean/It girl persona, she is human and can only imagine how horrible it must have been to see Ethan and Miranda die. The two form an emotional bond, unfortunately not a lasting one.
When the cabin is set ablaze the three counselors make for the cars only to learn that they have been disabled. The killer knew that it would be possible to get one of the cars functional but made sure that both were booby trapped to explode when they needed to be.
On a side note what was up with the strange thoughts at the Cabin by the killer?
The car is repaired with very little problems (which should have worried the trio after their incident at the cabin) but as Chad is finishing up Rocki remembers something. With everything that occurred in such a short amount of time Rocki forgot something very important, and very personal. The item is so personal that she is willing to risk her life to go back for it.
Chad's cowardice momentarily spares Sienna but only for a short time because it places Sienna in the killer's line of sight. An arrow fired from a recurve bow is capable of flying at about 225 feet per second. The killer is capable of shooting and reloading at incredible speed and manages to hit Sienna twice before Sienna can reach the cabin only fifteen feet away (give or take a foot).
Rocki really did try to vocally warn Sienna but seeing the killer's silhouette she escapes by hiding in the brush. She does not move so as not to draw attention to herself nor risk breaking any branches thus giving away her position.
The chapter ends with Rocki at the point of a knife, most likely meaning she's reached the end of her life...
See you Friday for the epic conclusion.
The great mystery revolves around Rocki's necklace. It's tomorrow I'll find out what this necklace with the pendant means because Rocki comes back to the cabin to get it, even risking her life.
ReplyDeleteI never said it was a pendant.
DeleteSorry but the translator made a mistake. Its a ring.
ReplyDeleteActually I never said what it was. Just that there was something on the chain hidden under her shirt.
DeleteYou never said what it was.But I let my imagination take me Beyond of my conscience
ReplyDeleteI think it is something from Jackson or something connected to what happened in 1996. Like maybe she lost a family member. Rocki seemed to have a good idea of what happened during the first attacks at the camp back in 1996.
