Commentary:
So this is our final commentary track for this series. Obviously the prequel could not be posted prior to the completion of the story as it immediately gives away the big twist at the end of the story that Jackson and Rocki are actually married. Unlike the main story the prologue and beginning of the epilogue are straight forward and filled with drama to start and end the issues Jackson and Rocki have with their mothers.
Now some might wonder why I didn't write the story with them dating? A consideration but then it would not be realistic for me to thing the readers would have Rocki ever believing that Jackson could be the killer. As his secret wife I could do that while she would never believe in internally but to all of you... she had her doubts.
My red herrings
I placed Jackson in the area of the killings during the time frame of the death of Mystery Girl (Ann Phillips).
The killer wore all black (Jackson has a similar outfit).
The killer (ironically) had the same kind of bow as Jackson.
The killer was as fast as Jackson was at drawing, loading, and firing an arrow.
Jackson was missing from the end of Chapter 2 until his reappearance at the end of Chapter 5 (sort of).
I don't know if you've wondered why I seem to pick Phoenix, Arizona as my new go to site for my stories... the main reason is that I have family in that area and have been there several times and like the area. It is close (relatively speaking) to San Francisco where DJ's family lives. So that's why the Fuller's go there (besides the fact that Rocki is going to school there).
Rocki obviously was the primary character of these stories. If you've followed my stories it should have been pretty obvious that Rocki was going to be this stories “Final Girl”. Rocki is strong but when we get to Chapter 4 we see how all of this is starting to weigh on her mind... particularly after Ethan and Miranda die. Miranda's death is particularly traumatizing as Rocki fully sees the death (she could only imagine Ethan's fate). Rocki is pushed physically and emotionally until she is once more reunited with her love. Knowing without a shadow of a doubt that Jackson isn't trying to kill her (as he could have if he were the killer). After surviving her harrowing experience she is emotionally distraught. Her friends have been killed, she has been terrorized, and chased throughout the camp ground, her saving grace was her husband and his plan. After they kill Jessica Rocki is extremely clingy to her husband, something he completely understands given everything she has endured.
You are always surprising me. That ending in which Rocki says a prayer to everyone who died at the summer camp was sensational. There I could feel the feeling of peace that Rocki was in. This is another masterpiece that I will keep with affection and admiration.
